My First Magic Moment

I was pissed all day, i literally was at t-spin ALLL DAY,
but then this little girl made my whole day
it was perfect
my last rotation i was prime merge
and she came the night before and rode prime with her mom like 6 times
and she came back tonight to animal kingdom just to ride prime the last 2 hours
and so i gave her some fastpasses
and then never collected them from her, so she kept going
and then like 30 mins before closing

she came up to me, and her mom said, "Angel would like to thank you, you made her whole week" and then Angel gave me a big hug
and her mom asked to get a picture with me
so i knelt down and she sat on my knee, gave me a big hug, and i let her wear my hat for the picture.
it made my whole day

Bonds

The friends I have made here are ones I hope to keep for a long time. We all clicked so fast and everyday we get together in some way. I guess going to disney parks really bring people together. The core is going strong and the boys now all live together...minus drew.
I don't want to sound ungreatful for my new friendships, but I really wish my best friends were here to experience this with me. Like
My best friend Christopher, I haven't heard from him since we left school. And I miss that kid like crazy! I just wish he was here to see how happy I am and that the old alli is back and here to stay.
Also sora, she's in idaho and I feel like once I go back to school all I'm going to talk about is my crazy disney stories. Like how RM's talk about mission stories. I feel like I'm always bragging to her when I give her an update on what I've been up to.
The people here are great. I just wish I had both my old and new friends here. Is that too much to ask? Lol

What is Dinoland?

Strom Troubles

Okay, So me and my friend Josh both work at Animal Kingdom, so we spend most of our time there but don't really spend time in other areas besides our roles. So after my shift got off at 1:30 we striped off our work clothes and headed straight for Kali River Rapids, it seemed to be a hot sunny day and we thought it was early enough that we would have time to dry off by the time we were to go back home. We went and got fast passes for Everest and then stood in line for Kali, about an hour long wait. That was the longest wait we've had since we've been here. We get to the loading dock and sit down in our raft. We felt a few sprinkles and joked about how if we don't get wet from the ride, the rain will make it look like we had fun.

About half way through the ride, it pours. I'm from Oregon, I'm used to rain. But this was Florida rain. It's thick and you can feel the heavy water hit every time. We got off Kali and ran to Everest. Surprisingly there was a short line, so we got right on the ride. Little did we know why people were hiding in the gift shops for cover. We were at the beginning of a thunder storm! We had the most painful ride of Everest ever cause the rain was like small rocks being pelted on our faces we couldn't see anything outside the mountain. Since we were already drenched, we splashed in puddles all the way to Dinoland. We decided to go to Dinosaur cause it was an indoor ride so it wouldn't be shut down due to thunder and lighting. I figured that would be the first ride people would run to because it's an awesome ride, and it's indoors. We went and found the place nearly empty!! So me and Josh got to ride Dinosaur...and then requested a re ride and got our own jeep to ourselves. It was just another wild day at Animal Kingdom. :)

Birds in Florida

The birds here, ARE CRAZY! I've never seen such weird looking birds!!

Today at animal kingdom, I was walking to go backstage when I saw this crane. It was doing the weirdest walk I've ever seen, it reminded me of the lion king when Simba is stalking Zazu. A photopass employee walks by and stops to join me in the entertainment coming from this bird. The bird sneeks past this guy who is passed out on this bench and the photo guy took the picture and put his pass into the man's backpack. hahaha
You think that would be the end of it. BUT WAIT THERES MORE!

The bird continued it's swag into a bush and then BAM it snatched up a LIZARD!! it had a lizard handing out of it's beak squirming around!! I'm floored at this point and a small crowd starts to form watching this bird with a lizard hanging out of its mouth. The bird attempts to kill it's pray by chomping down on the lizard, but it continued to struggle. Then the bird had enough, and swallowed the lizard whole!! Since the anatomy of this bird is very thin, you could see the live lizard moving in the neck of the bird.

Wow, whata wild day.

Disney Days

Man, I have been so busy! It's great! so much to do!
First off I made these great friends, the group of 6 meet up at our first bus stop after check in and we've been together ever since! We are....THE CORE!

First off there's

Bethany: She's from Las Vegas Nevada, goes to school at BYU-I and works Quick food and beverage at Typhoon Lagoon! We are both HUGE Star War fans, and can't wait for star wars weekends to start!!

Next there is Steeeeeve. He's from California and graduated at BYU-H. He works as a Life Guard at A Resort.

Then Cameron, He's from ...Oklahoma (not really but it's an inside joke, haha)
he goes to BYU Provo, and his roll is custodial at Epcot.

Josh Hawkins is a cool kid! He's from Washington and speaks Cambodian! He goes to school at BYU Provo and his roll is custodial at Animal Kingdom!! (DAK BUDDIES!) Oh and he's a baker!!

Then it comes down to the non member, Drew Dicksen. He's from Chicago and goes to school at Robert Morris University. He plays volleyball as a 6 6' setter. We get along pretty good, and he loves to act and perform. Oh and if you ever have ANY question about a Disney Park, just ask Drew, he's better then Wikipedia when it comes to Disney knowledge! His roll is Quick food at The Wide World of Sports.

Then there's me
The Oregonian who has always had a true Disney heart, I am so blessed to be living my dream of working as a Disney cast member and am reminded of it every night as I leave the turnstiles. I work attractions at Disney's Animal Kingdom (so far my favorite park!!!) I love animals! and I love Disney, so it was a perfect fit for me! Disney is all about dreams, wishes, and magic, and I am just a girl who has gotten to experience what it feels like to be working for the Mouse. :)

Have a magical day!
