My Secret Disney Wedding

After getting purposed to at Disneyland, and the huge viral following along with it, I got some grief when people heard I wasn't doing a Disney themed wedding. I thought it was kinda silly of them, because if they truly knew me they would know I would sneak Disney in any kind of wedding I would have had. So that's what I did. I had a Travel Themed wedding with suitcases, cameras, maps and globes! I knew I wanted to incorporate Disney somehow, but in a classy way. One of my favorite things about the Disney parks is how much story and meaning goes into each detail. I used that to inspire me while planning my wedding. So in case you couldn't make it to the wedding, or if you may have over looked... Here are some of my "Hidden Mickey's" at my wedding.

Here are my 6 bridesmaids. (including my maid of honor Gretchen) Alex, Emma, Sora, Lindsi, Shelby and Hannah. I choose 6 bridesmaids to secretly represent the 6 princesses that had been released up until I was born.  (Snow White-1937, Cinderella-1950, Aurora-1959, Ariel-1989, Belle-1991, Jasmine-1992)  I didn't want them to dress up like specific princesses, because I wanted a nice color scheme in the photos.

My flower designer did a fantastic job and even put a gold Mickey Mouse on my bouquet!

Even my earrings and Vail had hidden Mickey's on them!

Wedding Video

I can't thank Andrew Roberts enough!!! Not only was he Christopher's best man, but he also put together this beautiful video of our wedding day at the temple!! Caleb Moore and Andrew did such a great job covering our wedding for all of those who couldn't make it in person to celebrate with us. We have a ton of raw footage and I love watching and reliving our best day ever!!

Orlando, My home

My heart is feeling extra heavy from all the tragedy happening in Orlando. Orlando has a very special place in my heart. It was an escape from my reality and a place where I found true happiness. At times I catch myself in disbelief that my little piece of heaven is going through hell. From the concert shooting, Pulse shooting, and the Grand Floridian. I want my Disney family to know that they are in my prayers and that I miss them constantly.

Although I know it will take much time to heal, I just want Orlando to know that they are strong and these events wont define them. I hope that we can all learn from this. We need to remember to watch out for each other and if we see something, SAY something. I feel that everyone is afraid of offending people now a days if say anything. A few simple words could save lives.

I want to send my condolences to Luis Vielma. My florida Brother Ian knew and worked with him in Harry Potter World. He was one of the victims of the Pulse shootings. He was there showing support and having a good time with his friends of the LGBT community.

Lastly, I would like to share this beautiful print from one of my favorite Disney Artist Ashley Taylor.
You can buy this print or get the digital download for just 5$ on her Etsy page and all the profits will go in a donation to the Red Cross.

We love you Orlando

Learning to Love

Christopher and I had met back in January 2012. I was going threw some really hard life lessons and Christopher was the best blessing to help me through it all. He easily became my best friend. Now here we are now four years later and we are now sealed together for eternity.

Before we were married, I remember everyone giving me their input on marriage and how everything will change. I felt that having known Chris for so long, that our transition wouldn't be quiet as dramatic to others who have dated a shorter amount of time.

What I am starting to learn is, no matter how cute and sweet your fiance may be, he's still a boy and once your married... he still a boy. That means; the dishes may sit out longer then you want, the clothes on the floor mean they are still fair game to wear, and your bathroom will never be the same beauty station you once knew.

I think the hardest lesson I am still trying to understand is his love of fixing things. My dad was a California beach boy, Chris has an engineer heart and won't settle for buying things he knows he can build or fix himself. It gets frustrating because he'll spend hours on it, spend money on tools, parts, and oil, and I have no idea if or when it'll be actually fixed. His motorcycle means a lot to him, but it also has cost more then I can keep track.

Most importantly I've learn to love more then I ever thought I could. Waking up and seeing him so somber on his pillow makes it even harder to get out of bed in the morning. Making him a special meal and taking walks in the park couldn't be any more rewarding. I can truly say I married my best friend, my partner in crime, my favorite teammate. I know we have a lot of life ahead of us, but there is no one I'd rather spend it with.

Honeymoon Heights

We had so much fun on our honeymoon in North Carolina visiting Myrtle Beach!

One of our big actives we did was a helicopter tour! Neither of us had been on one before so we were both real excited! Here are some shots from our flight!

Back on the ranch

So my best friend Hannah has been living in the middle of no where for a while now, and it's been really sad because I barley get to see her. Except for this week she invited me to come visit and go horseback riding for my birthday! It was so much fun and we had quite the view!!

Oregon Grown

Growing up in Oregon, you don't really realize how lucky you are. It wasn't until I moved to Idaho for college that I found my inner Oregonian pride. You just don't get green like this anywhere else. I love our water, and how you can drink it out of the hose. I love our grass, that you can fall asleep because it's as soft as a blanket. I love the smell of fresh rain and how everything starts to sparkle from the raindrops.

On my last trip to Oregon for our big wedding, I had a chance to take some of my bridesmaids to Silver Creek Falls. It was wet, and cold and slippery, but they were still amazed that a place like this was so close by! We didn't get to spend too much time here but I think they all had fun! Even little Gracie made the trip down to the South Falls!

Oregonian Tip!! When your walking around, look for these clover like plants! Pick it up, and if you trust me... CHEW IT! It taste real good like a green apple! I got all my bridesmaids to do it and they liked it too!

The behind the sense of their Instagram post...

What I've been up to

I did however get some pictures from the Photo Booth that was at my wedding! We had a friend run the booth and I'm very pleased with how they turned out! Thank you again to all of those who could make it to our reception! We had a ton of fun and were touched by how many of you were able to come party with us!!
