My Secret Disney Wedding

After getting purposed to at Disneyland, and the huge viral following along with it, I got some grief when people heard I wasn't doing a Disney themed wedding. I thought it was kinda silly of them, because if they truly knew me they would know I would sneak Disney in any kind of wedding I would have had. So that's what I did. I had a Travel Themed wedding with suitcases, cameras, maps and globes! I knew I wanted to incorporate Disney somehow, but in a classy way. One of my favorite things about the Disney parks is how much story and meaning goes into each detail. I used that to inspire me while planning my wedding. So in case you couldn't make it to the wedding, or if you may have over looked... Here are some of my "Hidden Mickey's" at my wedding.

Here are my 6 bridesmaids. (including my maid of honor Gretchen) Alex, Emma, Sora, Lindsi, Shelby and Hannah. I choose 6 bridesmaids to secretly represent the 6 princesses that had been released up until I was born.  (Snow White-1937, Cinderella-1950, Aurora-1959, Ariel-1989, Belle-1991, Jasmine-1992)  I didn't want them to dress up like specific princesses, because I wanted a nice color scheme in the photos.

My flower designer did a fantastic job and even put a gold Mickey Mouse on my bouquet!

Even my earrings and Vail had hidden Mickey's on them!

Proposal goes Viral

Getting engaged at Disneyland may seem like an everyday thing. But when your proposal video gets over 1.2 million views on Facebook in less then a week, you start to wonder why you are receiving all these random friend request from around the world.
My name is Alli and I am a Disney nerd and a photographer. My fiancé has never been to Disneyland and knew how much it would mean to me if I had a memory to share with everyone. Little did we know how viral it would go. He surprised me and my family by proposing to me in Disneyland in front of Mickey Mouse. I had worked in Disney World for over a year back in 2013-14 and had always had a special place in my heart for my boss, Mickey. Apparently so does everyone else who's got a Disney side still in them.

So far I have received,
1,205,390 Views
The video has been shared over 17,000 times
on my profile alone, it has over 12,000 likes
275 friend request from people around the world
and 400+ followers on Facebook & Instagram.
I even have friends from Swindon UK saying that they've seen my video shared!

Watch the video here!

I truly believe that Disney has magic that is indescribable and can touch the hearts of everyone. Mickey did a fantastic job and I know what without him this engagement would just be like any other proposal.
Thanks for letting me share our happy story.

Disney Days

Man, I have been so busy! It's great! so much to do!
First off I made these great friends, the group of 6 meet up at our first bus stop after check in and we've been together ever since! We are....THE CORE!

First off there's

Bethany: She's from Las Vegas Nevada, goes to school at BYU-I and works Quick food and beverage at Typhoon Lagoon! We are both HUGE Star War fans, and can't wait for star wars weekends to start!!

Next there is Steeeeeve. He's from California and graduated at BYU-H. He works as a Life Guard at A Resort.

Then Cameron, He's from ...Oklahoma (not really but it's an inside joke, haha)
he goes to BYU Provo, and his roll is custodial at Epcot.

Josh Hawkins is a cool kid! He's from Washington and speaks Cambodian! He goes to school at BYU Provo and his roll is custodial at Animal Kingdom!! (DAK BUDDIES!) Oh and he's a baker!!

Then it comes down to the non member, Drew Dicksen. He's from Chicago and goes to school at Robert Morris University. He plays volleyball as a 6 6' setter. We get along pretty good, and he loves to act and perform. Oh and if you ever have ANY question about a Disney Park, just ask Drew, he's better then Wikipedia when it comes to Disney knowledge! His roll is Quick food at The Wide World of Sports.

Then there's me
The Oregonian who has always had a true Disney heart, I am so blessed to be living my dream of working as a Disney cast member and am reminded of it every night as I leave the turnstiles. I work attractions at Disney's Animal Kingdom (so far my favorite park!!!) I love animals! and I love Disney, so it was a perfect fit for me! Disney is all about dreams, wishes, and magic, and I am just a girl who has gotten to experience what it feels like to be working for the Mouse. :)

Have a magical day!
