Fantasyland Operations

Two months down, can you believe it? It's crazy to think how I got here.
I'm now in Fantasyland working at Enchanted Tales with Belle, it's a cute character experience and right now the closest thing to entertainment, without being in entertainment. It's fun, but really slow paced. I picked up a shift at Dinoland and loved it. I just don't like standing around all day, it makes the days seem longer. Luckily I have some awesome coworkers that keep me entertained.

All the Cp's at Belle are girls, which is crazy to think we don't have as much drama as that would sound. We're all really chill and open with each other, I guess not having guys work there means we're not trying to one up each other. So maybe that helps we don't have guys. Since we all work basically closing, our line gets really dead towards the end of the night, and we Belle girls get a little....loopy. We start dancing, singing, and delusional it's pretty great. Linda (Na Na) Divya (De De) Caitlyn, Kristen, Alyx, Megan, Amber, Rachel, Rose, Brittany, Ashleigh, and I would love to chat it up if you're ever lonely at Magic Kingdom, come by and say hi!

Countdown!

My first gif!

Look out blog! Here comes the beginning of the gif's!

Rama Cast Members

I miss all my Ramas so much!

The best CP in Dinoland was Mohamad Bahlawan. He knew Prime, Parade, and rotations better then anybody. He's from Gainesville, Florida studying Engineering. Mohamad is so nice and He loves to make fun of me dancing on station. One time I was really sick at work, and Mohamad came up to me and told me to take his break, that would mean he would work for 4 hours straight without a break! I couldn't let him do that but he was so sweet in offering. Mohamad is now a seasonal cast member he said "Not gonna lie, coming back to Disney, I missed you and your personality the most. I was hoping to see you then realized, you're gone..." He's so kind and hard working, Disney is so lucky to have him.

Jessica Shipman & Katie Burdick were some of the sweetest girls in Rama. Hard workers and a great love for Disney! I loved working with these girls! We'd always get a kick of 105's and strange guest. Even on long bus rides home, we'd giggle making Disney park jokes and quotes. These two were my Rama girls!

Javi Gonzalez is one of the funnest people I've ever met. He loves to talk about food, and is very open about anything. He loves to take care of me, I'll sit on his lap and he'll place my head on his shoulder and say " How you doing baby girl, Javi is here!"

Jim O'Neil is one of Rama's triple threats. He's a trainer for all the attractions in Dinoland! He is one heck of a funny guy who is always looking out for others. He always had my back and would always tell me how he thought I was the best cast member. He wasn't afraid to brag about me to the managers on a daily basis. He always brought my spirits up on those hot sweaty days of Rama. He'd come up hold my hand and ask how his Alli was doing.

This is Ian, he became one of my best friends. Who would have thought something good could come out of Rama? Well this kid is one of the most fun cast members to work with. Anytime we were on station together we would always be doing funny voices or Michael Jackson moves to pass the time. Me and Ian did almost everything together, Universal Studios, Walmart Trips and even wheel chair races after hours in Epcot's parking lot! He's one of the reasons I kept my spunk throughout my college program. He I and Drew were the triple threat, and we're planning on taking over next summer for another Disney College Program!

Ethan Bice is quite the cast member, he knows his stuff better then some of the trainers. He works full time and even worked at space mountain. If you ever want a laugh just give Ethan a holler. I will always remember his laugh and the "ohhhhhhh" he does whenever theres a dirty joke. We had so much fun at tower and dispatch sending cars off by saying "TIME MACHINE ACTIVATE!" He's great at themeing and is always there to help if I had any questions.

Who doesn't love Paolo Mazza! He cracks me up! He's so expressive and would be as crazy and out there and doesn't care who's watching. He graduated the same time I did and I remember that last week we went insane. The muppets somehow made their way into Dinoland and miss piggy was on a rampage on primeval whirl! It was up to me and Paolo to warn all of those about to ride Kermit's swamp! Thanks to Paolo's example, I have learned too that I don't have to care what people think about me, as long as I am who I am. :)

Disney College Slaves

As much as I love working for Disney, We college kids have to put up with so much crap.

I feel this song best describes Disney College Program

Strom Troubles

Okay, So me and my friend Josh both work at Animal Kingdom, so we spend most of our time there but don't really spend time in other areas besides our roles. So after my shift got off at 1:30 we striped off our work clothes and headed straight for Kali River Rapids, it seemed to be a hot sunny day and we thought it was early enough that we would have time to dry off by the time we were to go back home. We went and got fast passes for Everest and then stood in line for Kali, about an hour long wait. That was the longest wait we've had since we've been here. We get to the loading dock and sit down in our raft. We felt a few sprinkles and joked about how if we don't get wet from the ride, the rain will make it look like we had fun.

About half way through the ride, it pours. I'm from Oregon, I'm used to rain. But this was Florida rain. It's thick and you can feel the heavy water hit every time. We got off Kali and ran to Everest. Surprisingly there was a short line, so we got right on the ride. Little did we know why people were hiding in the gift shops for cover. We were at the beginning of a thunder storm! We had the most painful ride of Everest ever cause the rain was like small rocks being pelted on our faces we couldn't see anything outside the mountain. Since we were already drenched, we splashed in puddles all the way to Dinoland. We decided to go to Dinosaur cause it was an indoor ride so it wouldn't be shut down due to thunder and lighting. I figured that would be the first ride people would run to because it's an awesome ride, and it's indoors. We went and found the place nearly empty!! So me and Josh got to ride Dinosaur...and then requested a re ride and got our own jeep to ourselves. It was just another wild day at Animal Kingdom. :)

Disney Days

Man, I have been so busy! It's great! so much to do!
First off I made these great friends, the group of 6 meet up at our first bus stop after check in and we've been together ever since! We are....THE CORE!

First off there's

Bethany: She's from Las Vegas Nevada, goes to school at BYU-I and works Quick food and beverage at Typhoon Lagoon! We are both HUGE Star War fans, and can't wait for star wars weekends to start!!

Next there is Steeeeeve. He's from California and graduated at BYU-H. He works as a Life Guard at A Resort.

Then Cameron, He's from ...Oklahoma (not really but it's an inside joke, haha)
he goes to BYU Provo, and his roll is custodial at Epcot.

Josh Hawkins is a cool kid! He's from Washington and speaks Cambodian! He goes to school at BYU Provo and his roll is custodial at Animal Kingdom!! (DAK BUDDIES!) Oh and he's a baker!!

Then it comes down to the non member, Drew Dicksen. He's from Chicago and goes to school at Robert Morris University. He plays volleyball as a 6 6' setter. We get along pretty good, and he loves to act and perform. Oh and if you ever have ANY question about a Disney Park, just ask Drew, he's better then Wikipedia when it comes to Disney knowledge! His roll is Quick food at The Wide World of Sports.

Then there's me.
The Oregonian who has always had a true Disney heart, I am so blessed to be living my dream of working as a Disney cast member and am reminded of it every night as I leave the turnstiles. I work attractions at Disney's Animal Kingdom (so far my favorite park!!!) I love animals! and I love Disney, so it was a perfect fit for me! Disney is all about dreams, wishes, and magic, and I am just a girl who has gotten to experience what it feels like to be working for the Mouse. :)

Have a magical day!
